Camp Details:

The Blue Sky Camps feature a free Educators’ course each morning. These courses are designed to help teachers teach folk music, introduce them to resources and methods, repertoire, and (brace yourself) playing in bands with other educators. Educators are welcome to stay in the dorms. We will reserve a few suites just for educators and our own faculty. Westminster’s housing is much more comfortable than a typical dorm (private room and bathroom, leather furniture etc . . .) and is much closer than the nearest hotel.  We do not suggest using the meal plan (though the option is available on the registration page). A credit card works just as well and gives you more flexibility to eat when and where you please. For more info on the camp housing and meal plans click here.

Your schedule will begin at 9:30 and will end no later than 1:00. You are welcome to stay later if there are activities and classes that you would like to attend. You are also welcome to take part in evening activities and the final concert.

We are using the term “Educator” to describe both private and public school music teachers. If you teach in a private music studio, we ask that you be teaching at least 8 students currently (or will be in the fall). College music majors are also welcome. Parents click here.
